چکیده
Abstract Aim Surgical repair of a complex defect after resection Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. Materials-methods: protuberans, is an uncommon soft tissue tumor that involves the dermis, subcutaneous fat, and in rare cases, muscle fascia. We present 49-year-old patient diagnosed with anterior abdominal wall who underwent Mohs surgery to achieve complete resection, resulting 12cmx10cm epigastrium affecting skin, tissue, linea alba both rectus sheaths. This considered intermediate-grade malignancy low likelihood metastasis but high local recurrence rate. The optimal treatment Mohs-micrographic surgery, allows margin assessment preservation. Results Dissection retrorectus space extended caudal defect, while dissection proceeded cranially by sectioning posterior sheath enter subxiphoid preperitoneal space. A polypropylene mesh sublay position. Given asymmetry fascia Chevrel (Welti-Eudel) technique performed on left side order reconstruct alba. fascial was later covered onlay biosynthetic mesh. Finally, closure skin achieved O-Zetaplasty ensuring adequate viability flaps. did not any postoperative complications. Conclusions Resection locally aggressive tumours such as Dermatofibroma remains only curative alternative can pose reconstructive challenge. Midline reconstruction large, circular defects complicated, requiring deep anatomical knowledge combination different surgical approaches materials.

Recurrent abdominal wall dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans in a child: a challenging reconstruction
INTRODUCTION Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans is an uncommon low-grade soft tissue sarcoma with a high potential for recurrence as it has irregular finger like extensions. CASE DESCRIPTION We report a case of a large, recurrent dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans in a child involving the anterior abdominal wall, which posed a challenge for reconstruction. Peritoneum sparing full thickness resectio...

Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a rare cutaneous tumor with a possibly misleading presentation. It is rare in childhood. We report an 18-month-old child with an acquired atrophic plaque of the left ankle. Based on clinical findings, initial proposed diagnoses included localized scleroderma and localized lipoatrophy. At the age of 5 years the plaque had increased in size and become a p...
